JOB SUMMARY:

Main Purpose of Position:

 

The primary purpose of the Product Operations Assistant will be to support the Product Management team with the administration of their operational responsibilities and key performance areas. This includes ensuring efficient stock management, providing sales support, price list management, procurement, maintaining vendor relationships and assisting with marketing activities. This role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely information to internal teams, resellers and vendors, coordinating the flow of products, pricing and supporting the overall sales process to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction. Collaboration with technical, sales, marketing, and support teams is imperative to achieve revenue and partner satisfaction objectives.

  

KPA PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
Brand Administration
  • Create and maintain Inventory Item Codes on Accpac
  • Stock order planning
  • Stock procurement
  • Obtain and update ETAs on incoming shipments
  • Assist with Pricing Requests
  • Maintain Monthly Price List
  • Manage Vendor and Partner Rebates
  • Assist with Aged Stock Management
  • Pipeline Reporting
  • Assist with vendor feedback/reporting
  • Daily expense/cost analysis tracking against Brand Budgets
  • Prepare monthly brand review reports
Sales Support
  • Assist with pricing queries and requests
  • Assist with project registrations
  • Update and maintain stock reservation report (Daily)
  • Maintain professional working relationships with Vendors, Internal teams and Partners
Vendor Support
  • Set up and assist with reporting and feedback for Vendor Business Reviews
  • Gain relevant knowledge of products and services by attending relevant training and vendor webinars
  • Knowledge of compliance eg. ICASA/NRCS/CRAN required for products and initiation of application process

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Internal training associated with competencies:

  • During the first week of your employment, you’ll be presented with a meticulously crafted learning map designed to seamlessly guide you through your on-the-job training experience.

 

Minimum Qualifications :

  • A BCom or Business Administration Degree would be advantageous.

 

Minimum Experience:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a brand support or operational role, preferably within the IT or Technology industry.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing stock, pricing and sales support.
  • Experience in vendor management, including managing vendor funding and deal registration processes.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Own reliable transport and a valid driver’s license.

 

Minimum Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, is critical.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail required in performance of all tasks.

 

Office Requirements:

  • Office-based working environment.
  • Semi-formal dress code.
  • Working hours are from 08:00 – 17:00.
  • Excellent international business language skills (English), both written and verbal.
  • Reliable transport to and from the office.

  • This is a permanent position subject to a three-month probationary period.
